The Model, Daniel Cullen, from EMG. Such a darling. He was entering into his final year of high school this year. He was SO TALL, and I didn’t realise how young he was until he started talking about an 18th birthday party he was going to that night. The party was apparently going to have alcohol.. It was a big deal.
Make up by the always wonderful, Carren Lee.
The cool Hair Bolero is by Nerida Bourne, amazing designer on the brink of something MAJOR- http://www.neridabourne.com/

DION LEE
Posted: January 18, 2012 Filed under: designer, Fashion | Tags: a/w 2012, Dion Lee, LFW, London Fashion Week 1 Comment »Dion Lee has had three Australian fashion week shows, including the beautiful show at the Opera House last year, and is now on to his first London show this February. The photos I’ve included in this blog are a part of is A/W 2012 collection of which he’ll be showing at LFW. The lookbook is very futuristic, Tallulah Morton sports grey hair and combat boots, occasionally a skull cap.
I love the printed creased shirt & pants, and the addition of the blazer to his collection.
His pieces are tailored to perfection, Im always so impressed how he can shape light wools and silks into beautiful silhouettes using slight origami type pleats.
Lee recently collaborated with CUE for a workwear label, releasing pieces including structured, leather dresses with cut-outs on the waist, and woolen skirts with geometric designs.
“I work three dimensionally and from all angles to create a silhouette, garments really change as you see them move and function, and I like the process of engineering clothing for the body.”- Dion Lee

ZANDER OLSEN
Posted: January 11, 2012 Filed under: art | Tags: art, olsen, zander olsen Leave a comment »I found this site specific art recently on one of the blogs I follow. The artists name is Zander Olsen, and in this particular project he wraps some kind of bandage around the tree to, he says, “construct a visual relationship between tree, non-tree and the line of horizon according to the camera’s viewpoint”.
It is an on going project that is being carried out in Hampshire, Wales.
I love that you can only see the work from one perspective, captured in these photos, and the starkness of the white against the forest.
Zanders work reminds me of this practice in Scotland (i think) to tie cloth to trees as offerings to spirits or saints. The cloths have to be clean, and they are generally just tied on branches with messages or names written on them, but they also look as stark and out of place.
